there's a bear
a damn big bear
you know
with balls as
big as
antique globes
says I belong
in Siberia
the people there
have a new star
good for
praying they say
I just want
one more
night in Texas
to pound my head
red and flat
put it in
the oven
with the other
shriveled
heads
wash down the old
stars with
reindeer piss
and fall out of
some back
door cathedral
I know Jim
Morrison will
be there
laughing at me
with a big
idiot grin
and a tower will
rise from
the rock
and Jim
that ugly old bear
will scratch at
the sky
caught in a dream
where fools roar as
they drown
where hot evil
breath
becomes music
where the bones of
dreamers are crushed
and bound
with Siberian
stardust
carried away
some say
by an
eagle
mad for its own
myth
